Week 3…

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to Week 3!  I hope you’re all staying well and positive.  It can be challenging, I know.  I finally have all grade specific pages updated for this week outlining assignments going forward.  Please feel free to let me know what is working and what isn’t.  This has all been a bit of a learning curve and one of the things I’m learning is that there are so many people doing things online right now that sometimes specific websites are simply getting bogged down.  Let me know if this is an ongoing frustration with any of the resources that I’m sending you to.  If so, I may need to change course a bit and try some new things.

Quote of the day…

“If you pour some music onto whatever’s wrong, it’ll sure help out.”

– Levon Helm

So… go ahead and pour some music into your life right now, dance around your living room,  and I promise you’ll feel better!  Here’s something to get you started!

Another week down…

Hello Everyone,

Here we are at Friday again!  It’s easy to lose track of time, isn’t it?  I hope you’re all doing well.  I hope you’re enjoying time with loved ones and taking this time to slow down and reflect and… listen to some music!  A quote…

“A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul.” ― Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Take good care!

And so we begin…

Hello LCS Students and Families!

Welcome to my first attempt at a blog.    First things first.  I hope this post finds you all healthy and well.   None of us saw this coming but here we are and we WILL make the best of things.

I plan to use this site as a platform to communicate with all of you about music at LCS as we move through this temporary separation, but who knows, if it works out I may continue to use it!  I’m hoping to figure out how to add links and videos and all kinds of fun things that will help you to continue to grow as musicians.  There is much to be done and much to explore together.  There’s no time to lose so let’s get going!
